Dr. David Kim is uniquely qualified to help you achieve your weight loss goals. He has been designated by the American Society for Bariatric Surgery as a Bariatric Surgeon of Excellence because of his low complication rate. He has expertise in Laparoscopic Gastric Bypass Surgery, Lap Band Surgery, and Laparoscopic Gastric Sleeve Resection.

Dr. Kim completed his general surgery residency at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio and his peripheral vascular surgery fellowship at Ohio State University. Dr. Kim completed an additional fellowship in advanced laparoscopic bariatric surgery at the Medical College of Virginia and Washington University in St. Louis.

After 15 years in practice, Dr. Kim specializes in comprehensive general and advanced laparoscopic surgery. He was the first surgeon in Tarrant County to perform Laparoscopic Gastric Bypass Surgery.
